中国 China

“中国”这一名称最早出现于距今约3000年的西周初期。但我国古代各个王朝都没有把“中国”作为正式国名。直到辛亥革命以后，才把“中国”作为“中华民国”的简称。全国解放后，我们把“中国”作为“中华人民共和国”简称。

The name “China” first appeared in the early Western Zhou Dynasty about 3000 years ago. However, all the ancient dynasties in our country did not regard “China” as their official country name. It was not until the Revolution of 1911 that “China” was short for “Republic of China.” After the liberation of China, we referred to “China” as “the People's Republic of China” for short.

法国 France

法国又译作法兰西。5 世纪末，法兰克一部落首领克洛维占领了北方高卢，成为法兰克王国 (Frankreich)的首任国王。Frank 在日耳曼语中原意为“自由的”。今 France 是从拉丁文Francia演变而来的。

France is translated to France. At the end of fifth Century, Frank a tribal leader Clovisoccupation of the northern Gaul and Frankish Kingdom (Frankreich) has become the first king. The French name comes from the name of France. This France has evolved from Latin Francia.

德国 Germany

“德意志”是从古代高地德意志语的“同胞、民族”一词(diot) 而来的。当时，萨克逊、法兰克、阿勒曼等日耳曼部族正处于从移动到定居之时，“德意志”名称有“我们是同胞，属相同民族”的意思。

“Deutsche” came from the word “diot” of the ancient highland German language. At that time, Saxon、frank、allemann are in from the Germanic tribes moved to settle in, “German” name we are compatriots, with the nationality.

西班牙 Spain

西班牙位于欧洲西南部伊比利亚半岛。一种说法是它的名称来源于腓尼基语 Shaphan，意为野兔。因为古迦太基人在半岛海岸一带发现很多野兔，所以以此命名。另一种说法是来源于希伯莱一腓尼基语 Espana，意为埋藏，转义为矿藏、埋藏的财富。因为伊比利亚半岛盛产黄金、银、铜等，腓尼基人远道来此是为了掠取金银财富，因此命名。

Spain is located in the Iberian Peninsula in southwestern Europe. One theory is that the name derives from the Phoenician Shaphan, meaning hare. Because the Punic hare found a lot in the peninsula coast, so named. Another argument is derived from a Phoenician Hebrew Espana, because the Iberian Peninsula teems with gold, silver and copper, from here to plunder the wealth of gold and silver, hence the name.

美国 U.S.A

最初美洲被称为 “AMERICA”，这个词是1507年德意志的M •瓦尔兹缪勒根据意大利航海家亚美利戈•韦斯普奇的名字，给新大陆起的。在美国独立战争时期，政论家托马斯•潘恩在《独立宣言》中，第一次正式使用“美洲13 个联合洲一致通过的宣言”的副标题。其中的字头是：“T .U .D .T .U .S .A”，直到1776年写入独立宣言时，才写作：“The United States”。

At the time of the American Revolution, political commentator Thomas Paine in the “Declaration of independence”, the first official use of “America 13 joint in the unanimous Declaration”of the subtitle. The word “T.U.D.T.U.S.A” was written in 1776 when it was written to the declaration of Independence:“The UnitedStates”. Then someone simply shrinks it into “The United States”.

巴西 Braza

1500年，葡萄牙人卡布拉尔奉王室之命，率船队远征印度，途中到此登陆，立了一个刻有葡萄牙王室徽章的十字架，并命名为圣十字架地，宣布归葡萄牙所有。后来，在海岸附近发现一种纹路细密、色彩鲜艳、坚固耐用的树木，可提取宝贵的染料。

Brazil is located in the eastern and central part of the South American continent. In 1500, the Portuguese Cabral came to India on the way to the royal family and landed on the way. Later, a fine、brightly colored、sturdy、durable tree was found near the coast which could be used to extract valuable dyes.
